Assessment of the quality and accessibility of prevention services for people at high risk of HIV infection and care & support services for PLHIV in the context of the transition from donor to public funding.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY AND DESIGN

  • The first component provides for determining the quality and availability of preventive services for people from groups at higher risk of HIV infection, namely, people living with HIV / AIDS, SW, MSM in the context of the transition from donor funding to state funding in Ukraine;
  • The second component is to establish the quality and availability of care and support services for PLHIV in the context of the transition from donor to public funding in Ukraine.

This project is a one-time cross-sectional study using quantitative methodology.

Achievement of the set goals and objectives will be ensured through a survey of people with HIV infection, SW and MSM, as well as clients of HIV care and support programs, both on ART and those who is not receiving the treatment.

For the study were selected the following regions:

  1. Dnipropetrovsk region;
  2. Donetsk region (territory controlled by the Ukrainian government);
  3. Lviv region;
  4. Odesa region;
  5. Rivne region;
  6. Kharkiv region;
  7. Cherkasy region;
  8. Kyiv.

An analytical report will be prepared based on the results of the study.
