In 6 participant-cities was completed the project ““QUALITY OF HEATING / WATER SUPPLY (HOT WATER) SERVICES IN ORDER TO IMPROVE THESE SERVICES IN THE FUTURE””

In 6 participant-cities was completed the project “Improving services for consumers and increasing the level of citizen involvement in the government program supported by UDHEEP, installing heat metering devices in residential buildings, construction or modernization of boiler houses, installing and repairing thermal substations”

The goal of the project is to improve the services for consumers and increase the level of citizens’ involvement in the government program supported by UDHEEP, the installation of heat meters in residential buildings, the construction or modernization of boiler houses, installation and repair of thermal substations.

Geography of the survey: 6 cities participating in the project, namely: Dnipro, Kamenets-Podilsky (Khmelnytsky region), Nikolaev, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Kherson.

Field stage duration: February-April 2018.

Research methods: the study included several stages, using the both quantitative and qualitative methods of collecting empirical information for a more complete and comprehensive analysis:

  • Component 1 – Media content analysis
  • Component 2 – 24 focus group discussions with different categories of respondents
  • Component 3 – a survey of consumers of heat supply services on a structured questionnaire (based on a constructed representative sample)

Geography of the survey: 6 cities participating in the project, namely: Dnipro, Kamenets-Podilsky (Khmelnytsky region), Nikolaev, Ternopil, Kharkov, Kherson.

Method of interview: interview on the developed questionnaire according to the developed instruction.

Sample size: 3000 respondents.

Object of study:

  • Citizens of both genders from study cities over 18 years of age;
  • Residents of apartment buildings in the specified locations;
  • Citizens with different material status (urban poor and poorest sections of the population);
  • Household members who are responsible for paying utility bills and interacting with service providers;
  • In Dnipro, managers of enterprises located in administrative buildings, where it is planned to install ITPs during the project period.

Based on the results of the research, the customer was provided with an analytical report.
