“The study of the attitude to LGBT people (lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transgenders) among key social services’ workers in five countries of Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia in the framework of the ECOM Regional Program “Right for Health”

The study is being implemented by the “Center for Social Expertise named after Yu. Saenko” at the request of ECOM.

Implementation period: January 2019 – May 2019.

The purpose of this study is to study the specifics of attitudes towards LGBT on the part of employees of three key services in five CEECA countries (Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan and Macedonia) and to determine the factors influencing this attitude.

Target groups of research: representatives of key social services (medical staff, social workers and police).

Research geography: 5 countries of Central and Eastern Europe, and Central Asia:

  1. Armenia;
  2. Belarus;
  3. Georgia;
  4. Kyrgyzstan;
  5. Macedonia.

Research method: individual interview by “face-to-face” method.

Data collection: survey.

Planned sample volume – 870 respondents.

On November 5, 2020, Project Manager Olesya Trofymenko presented the results of a study at the XIII National LGBTI Conference “Time Constraints. The era of opportunities“.
