In 11 participant-cities was completed the project “Quality of water supply and sanitation services in order to improve these services in the future”

The field research phase in the city of Kiev was conducted during the period December 29, 2017 – January 11, 2018. The field stage of the study in other 10 participating cities of the project (Kharkiv, Vinnytsia, Zhitomir, Kropivnitsky, Ternopil, Cherkassy, ??Kramatorsk, Kolomyya (Ivano-Frankivsk region), Novovolynsk (Volyn oblast), Chuguev (Kharkiv region)) was held during the period from 08 to 18 January 2018.

To implement the empirical part of the project, a sample set that represents the adult population of the participating cities of the project was compiled and implemented.

In this study, a two-stage combined sample was implemented – probabilistic at the stage of selecting addresses for the start of route assignments, quota at the stage of respondent’s selection in the household. Also, at the stage of respondent selection in the household, screening questions about the experience of paying bills for water supply / sanitation, as well as experience of interaction with utilities, service providers were used.

The estimated sample included 5,800 people representing the adult population of the project participating cities (over 18 years of age) by sex and age, while respondents were selected according to the criterion “I take part in paying utility bills and contact public utility providers.”

Based on the results of the survey, the Customer was provided with an Analytical Report
